Farming the Fuels

The rising oil prices and increasing demand for green oils are driving oil companies worldwide to look for alternative oil resources. Moreover, several countries in the world are turning to the agricultural sector to put an end to oil dependence.

Brazil, U.S. and some European countries have started the initiative to produce fuels from specific crops such as corn, sugar cane and sweet sorghum. Many oil companies have also started to find alternative fuel resources, instead of relying on the oil-producing countries alone.
