Society Reacting on the Fuel Hikes
Whenever there is an increase or hike in the prices of fuels, most people would usually prepare themselves to start spending more for other goods such as food. This is because an oil hike also affects the prices for other items on the market.

It is a reflection of our society’s great dependence on oil that these price increases, though protested by a few militant groups, are generally accepted with resignation by others. It is a testament to most people’s belief that we cannot live without oil which, in turn, takes away much needed support for the research seeking to develop using other energy sources.
